DROPPING FOREVER KTHXBAI

...But I kid. Unfortunately for you all~

Actually, this is about something that I've wanted to do for months and talked about literally since the game began. Now, I've decided to see if everyone wants in on it. What is this something I am talking about?

Read on.

So, my idea has been, we as a game should do a few real MSTs. As in, riffing movies and shorts, just like in the show.

Obviously, the logistics would have to be worked out on how to do it (Skype seems to be an idea) and how to write the jokes and sync them, but, if anyone is interested, I'd love to hear you guys. And also if we do it, what movies and shorts we should do, though I will admit that there is one I'd love to do first. That one being Dünyayi kurtaran adam/The Man Who Saved The World, known as the Turkish Star Wars. Because, seriously. So many of the jokes write themselves for that movie. And no I don't care if its subtitled. Jokes still. Write. Themselves.

As for shorts, I've found a couple to choose from, ranging from the 1930s to literally ten months ago. So if we wanted to do a short with a movie, we could. But, what do you guys think? Do you guys have suggestions for shorts/movies/etc.? We can list them here and see what we think, if we decide to do this and when we want to do this kind of project.

So yeah. Basically MSTs. :D

Movies

-Dünyayi kurtaran adam/The Man Who Saved The World: The Turkish Rambo Cuneyt Arkin kicks ass, takes names and steals almost everything from American movies! No really, that's Turkish Rambo. And that is the Indian Jones theme music. And that's really from Flash Gordon...
-The Blood of Jesus: A woman accidentally gets shot and killed by her husband, only to be chased through the afterlife by a guy in pajamas. Most awkward start to a religious-themed movie ever.
-Always Tomorrow: Pauly D from Jersey Shore breaks the spirits of his friends and the employees at his Coca Cola bottling company during the Great Depression. Then he brags about it.
-Cat Women of the Moon: A group of the world's stupidest astronauts land on the moon, don't go by the book and as a result find not-very-feline-looking cat women who want to take over Earth.

Shorts

-The Republic: Evil righties take over the US in 2011. It stars Marc Singer, but sadly has no reptilian alien pregnancies. Made in 2011.
-To Enrich Mankind: To teach him about the importance of machines, Superman leaves the janitor to deal with a zombie statue Archimedes.
-Easy Does It: A informative and totally not sexist short about how and why women are better equipped to do the hard job of being a housewife.
-Are You Popular?: The new girl in town becomes bigger than Jesus. Watch and learn her secrets as to how to get people to like you too!
-Prom: It's a Pleasure!: Its all about prom etiquette, 1961-style! And about drinking copious amounts of Coca-Cola while doing so!
-Another Cup of Coffee: A Prudential salesman is given a cup of joe spiked with acid from one of his clients. Hilarity ensues.
-Safety Patrol: A CIA-trained child operative and his police handler in Detroit discuss, among other things, how women are all jaywalking cows.
-Wreckless: Forget the fact this short is about driving safety. The, er, memorable acting of the characters is what drives this film!

*punts for the joke*

I would love to do this though I would definitely need practice and a lot of time to think of jokes to be any good at it, if such time accommodations can be made before any riffing is recorded XD As for which ones to riff....whatever, really XD

I am down with Turkish Star Wars or "Always Tomorrow" for the movie! For the short, I like "Easy Does It" or "Are You Popular?"

As for how to get it to work, I'll admit that the logistics of it still kinda baffle me. It may work best to come up with a script beforehand, because the last time I tried a free-for-all riffing over skype, it got pretty chaotic.

That works. Then should we just have a set amount of people riff on it? If there's too many people in there, will be difficult to squeeze in jokes from everyone.

Yup, Skype works...although can you record a skype transcript the way you do AIM?

For the short, I could see doing the Prom one, or the Popular one.
