OoC Theater 2999: the official post thing
Yup. I've done it again.
So basically, the attempt to MST a video failed hard. Mainly because lol my mic kept feeding back on stuff when we were just watching the movie with Skype and Livestream on. It figures.
But, it should become apparent that I really wanted to do MSTing on the side. Why? Because I love MSTing. So I asked Lynx if we could do OoC riffs a la the practice riff. And she said it was fine. Yay!
So what do these practice riffs involve and how are they different from riffs in-game? Well...
- The first main difference between the official riffs for the game and the OoC riffs I'll be doing is that fanfics are allowed. You don't have to be the author of the fanfic, just submit something and we'll see if it can be done. Keep in mind that even though this does widen the selection of possible riffs to the infinite power, the ultimate decision of what will be done for these riffs still rests with the mods, as I show them the riffing material beforehand. Graphic violence/sex/offensive themes/etc. will not be considered. So you might want to strongly reconsider before you submit something like, say, Tracy's BBQ.
- The second main difference is that these riffs do not count towards activity. They're just for fun/practice/torture of the muns and characters OoCly. Boots to the head will be commenced to anyone who links them to activity. You have been warned.
- The third main difference is that anyone can participate in riffs. And I mean anyone. There is no limit to who can be in any given riff. This includes characters in game, characters you want to test out for the game, characters you just want to have riffing something for the hell of it, characters from MST3K, etc. OCs, characters featured in riffed stories, AUs, self-inserts, and your neighbor's mother are also all allowed. Why? Because its OoC Theater, the perpetual fourth-wall event that isn't!
- At the current moment, OoC Theater will occur every second half of the game week. Similar to the Mads' announcement, there will be an announcement, and a link to the riff, here in OoC. There is no time limit on when these can be finished, since its OoC and time is irrelevant. Heck, feel free to come back in ten years and insert a joke if you want.
- Questions? Comments? OoC riff suggestions? Just post them heeeere. You know you want to.
