Another Update to Pleasantville Event
There’s just a couple more effects for Pleasantville Week this week that the Satellite is now afflicting on characters! Here’s a quick rundown:
- The theatrical and media decks have been completely closed from anyone entering them, whether they’re male or female. There are locks on the doors to them, and no one can get past them.
- Characters will have difficulty speaking out against any kind of authority, including the Mads. If they do, they’ll start to feel intensely uncomfortable.
- Time itself seems to slow down, almost creating a ‘Groundhog Day’ effect.
- But, there is hope to escape these pleasant restrictions! If you characters do something to break out of their comfort zones or to change up how they normally speak or behave, they may see color start to appear on themselves or their personal objects. Making change can take a number of different forms. If they’re normally a party animal, sitting for a quiet moment to write may change them. If they’re normally the cautious type, doing something more adventurous can get colors going in them. Get some changes going enough, and color will return to the SOL, along with restrictions being lifted!
